Are you looking for a worthwhile and challenging job that allows you to work from home?

Hythe House Support is currently recruiting foster carers in your local area for children who cannot live with their birth families for a variety of reasons and need a loving foster home. Fostering is a paid job, and generous allowances are available. We will treat you as a professional, and invest in your training and support. Children are sometimes fostered for short periods, and sometimes until they reach independence, depending on their circumstances.

All foster carers are different, and come from different walks of life. Your personal qualities and willingness to make a real difference in a child's life are more important than qualifications or background. You can be married, single, gay, with or without children at home, a grandparent, and it doesn't matter if you rent or own your home. You just need to have at least one spare bedroom and room in your life to commit to a child.

Children in care have often experienced neglect or loss, and fostering can be demanding. You need resilience, firm boundaries and a sense of humour. But we give full training, and help is only ever a phone call away if you need support. We also offer a generous 28 days' respite (holiday) per year to allow you time to recharge your batteries or spend time alone with your partner or family. We really do look after our carers; their families and their fostered children are part of the Hythe House family.
